Halloween
We will be participating in the school Halloween parade on Friday October 31st at 1:30. At 2:00 we will have a party in our classroom following the parade. Please send in treats for your child to share with the class. Please do not send any peanuts or peanut butter. If you are sending your child’s costume please make sure it is a costume that they can put on themselves. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun!

Book it
Starting in the month of November we will be participating in Book It. This is a program designed to get kids reading. If your child brings their reading log every week at the end of the month they will get a coupon for a free personal pizza. Keep reading!

Field Trips
We have our Wicked R Ranch field trip on Wednesday October 29th. Please dress your child in comfortable clothes and shoes. We also have a field trip scheduled for The DuPont Theater on November 24th. Permission slips and money are due October 30th.

Box Tops

Please continue to send box tops to school. The class that sends the most in gets a pizza party. The contest ends at the end of October.

Jeans Day
On Thursday October 30th we will be having a jeans day. Students can wear jeans and a purple or white shirt to school for $3. We will also be having a pep rally at 2:00 that afternoon.

Book Fair
PCA is having a Scholastic Book Fair the week of October 27th. Our class is scheduled to go on Monday October 27th in the morning. If you would like your child to purchase books please send money that morning.

Tutoring
First grade teachers are offering after school tutoring. If you feel your child would benefit from tutoring please fill out the form sent home earlier this week and send it in. Tutoring is one hour a week. If you already sent an interest form back you will be receiving more information soon.
